[Mod Post] Tag Your Events!

Hello everyone! Just a friendly reminder to please tag your posts on the community! It makes searching a lot easier. :3 There are quite a few tags at the moment, but if you need a new tag (for example, the name of the town where the meetup will be held or the specific activity you're planning to do) just ask me! I'll make you a new tag quick as a flash, and then everyone can use it~

I've updated the community sidebar to show upcoming meetups! Looks like there's going to be a lot going on in the next few weeks~! Here's a recap, since I'm sure most of you view the content from the community on your friends lists:

If you have an upcoming event that I've missed, please let me know! I don't want anyone's event to be overlooked, but sometimes I skip over things when I'm paging through the community. Remind me (even better if you can link to your entry in the community), and I'll add it to the list~

Also, if you find inappropriate or irrelevant content on the community, please tell me. I'm our active mod, so I'll be the one deleting spam or anything unsavory, but I'm not always online hoovering over the community. If you see something that doesn't seem to belong, send me a private message (as it kicks off an email to me) or send me a text message~ I'll take care of the problem as soon as possible.

As always, you can contact me with any comments or concerns! Hope to see you all again soon~ ♥

Feeler Post: Meetup at Life Force Arts Center

Hi all it was so great to meet more of you at the massive meet and greet, and also see some faces I hadn’t seen for a long time.

There's  a meet-up idea that’s been in thought process for quite some time now. If there’s enough interest, this  meet would be at Life force arts center. Life force arts center is Chicago's only space for  spiritually- based visual and perfoming arts. It caters to everything from classes/rituals to live performances and also has an art gallery .It’s located at 3148 N. Lincoln ave.

I’m friends with the owner and she has expressed that the center needs ongoing help with funds and have been asking for donations. This is as simple as people just renting the space more often for their events and classes. I would like to help out somehow, and I thought some kind of lolita meet would be good for using the space. One of our very own lynmau actually works there.

So far we have been thinking more along the lines of a crafternoon /party but there is really no limit to what the space can be used for, so any of your ideas would be great. Last year we were able to use the shop for a loli -photoshoot , and thats just one example.

There are cute chairs already provided for places to sit, and tables already provided so we can set up some crazy feast with food and sweets.

Here’s a picture I took of the space when were there a . its very very roomy and comfortable. Once again please share any of your ideas for what you’d like to do and  If there is enough interest ,I would like for this to take place sometime in September.

There was recent interest in wanting to do more to help out the community, and  I think this is a good place to start. The center could use more support and all you need to do is show up and hang out ^_^
